Welcome to RIPS Baseball Training Complex

RIPS Baseball Training Complex trains over 200+ players a week on hitting, pitching, catching, and infield.  We also run camps on weekends and conduct indoor training for our 9 Washington RIPS Brewers teams.

Aaron Horrocks decided in 2003 to restructure the Brewer program to engulf all ages 13U-18U under one umbrella.  Getting a top notch facility with great coaches, instructors and a formula to get players Bigger, Better, Faster, and Stronger was our goal.

With having a plan for the athletic side, it was time  to implement the educational side.  Chris Minaker, current Seattle Mariners prospect and Stanford graduate, handles our Educational Workshops for all of our student-athletes.  Chris concentrates on time management, organizational skills, how to study, and staying ahead of the curve.  Some organizations talk about education...we wanted to make it a priority.  It's life changing and it's FREE.

Dave Wainhouse and Ron Rakowski offer Pitching Seminars throughout the winter months.  Their lectures range from mental preparation for starters and relievers, setting up hitters, conditioning for pitchers, and fielding your position.  These FREE seminars are another way of preparing our players for success.

The Winter Workout Program (WWOP) is another outstanding vehicle to get the ballplayers the proper skills for hitting and fielding.  We also have included a 1-hour conditioning plan on both nights.  This five month program is available to all Brewers from November through March.  With 35 dates (70 hours) we feel we can improve the ballplayers' core strength, speed and agility, provide him with the fielding techniques it takes to become an elite fielder, and give him the foundation to hit with the best.  This is how we get our players Bigger, Better, Faster, and Stronger.....we outwork everybody else!

RIPS and Aaron Horrocks will be assisting Jimmy Gonzales and the Washington Nationals again this year to run the Area Code Team that will participate @ Blair Field in Long Beach, California the 1st week of August.  We will be holding tryouts at Tacoma Community College June 21st on an invitation only basis.  Check out our Area Code page for more information.Area Code
