Aaron Horrocks - Head Coach
Aaron has been involved with coaching youth baseball and the Brewers since 1984. Prior to running the Brewers, the Seattle native played for Gonzaga University in 1978. Aaron is a 1977 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Burien, WA.
Under Horrocks's guidance the Brewers dominated the Koufax Division in the 1990's winning several league, state, and national tournaments and titles.
In 2003, after taking a few years to restructure the Brewers program, the Brewers opened up the 2003 season with teams ranging from 13U-18U. This season Aaron will be coaching the RIPS Brewers 14U Blue & 18U RIPS teams.
Aaron has been one of the coaches for the Area Code Games the past two years. He will also be doing the same job for the upcoming 2010 Area Code Team.
During his tenure with the Brewers, Horrocks has seen the program produce many High School All-League Selections, D1 Prospects, and Professional Players.
Dave Wainhouse - Assistant Coach
Dave is a former major league pitcher and now the owner of the Washington Baseball Academy.
Wainhouse, a first-round draft choice in 1988, played 13 years of professional baseball. Dave brings years of experience to his coaching of the Brewers, having played for Jim Leyland (Pittsburgh Pirates/Colorado Rockies), Felipe Alou (Montreal Expos), Tony LaRussa (St. Louis Cardinals), Don Baylor (Colorado Rockies) and Lou Pinella (Seattle Mariners). In the minor leagues, Dave recorded over 100 saves, was named to the Triple-A All Star team three times and was the Triple-A Rolaids Reliever of the Year in 1999. Wainhouse was also a member of the 1988 Canadian Olympic team and played his collegiate career for Washington State University.
Dave was also named the pitching coach for Seattle University with their inaugural season set for 2010. Dave now resides in Kent with his wife Marci and their two children, Joe and Ava.
